Cancelled Elections

The current board has cancelled several elections resulting in the need for this recall election in order to have an overdue election for new candidates to serve on the board. Voting YES on the recall will ensure a new vote count to elect the new members to represent our community.  Below are the minutes covering the cancelled elections.

November, 20, 2023: The Board cancelled the December 2023 election for no apparent reason.  Bell Canyon residents Evan Lawrence and Dr. David Matian were candidates running for the board postion and had submitted their applications on time in October 2023. Neither candidate was advised the election was cancelled or postponed.

March 17, 2024: Bell Canyon held and election where Mike Klein, Kevin Keegan, and Steve Rasnick are elected. The next election to fill the other Board seats should have occurred in October 2024 per the Bell Canyon bylaws for yearly annual elections.

​July 17, 2024: The Board advises they cannot meet the timeline for an October election. The Board voted to postpone the annual meeting (includes elections) until March 15, 2025,

Nov 20, 2024: A motion by Kevin Keagan and seconded by Mike Klein to extend Kevin Keegan, Mike Klein, and Steve Rasnick's Board term until October/November 2027. This resulted in the cancellation of the March 15, 2025 election and extended everyone's terms.

The Board must hold annual elections and have unconditional transparency with the community.
