Several members of the HOA Board have already reached the end of their terms. However, the 2024 elections were canceled. The current HOA Board attempted to disband the Bell Canyon Volunteer Wildland Fire Department amidst the Palisades and Eaton fires. The board has also continued to pursue and threaten additional lawsuits, which, if lost, could jeopardize Bell Canyon's financial stability due to potential counterclaims. Although past lawsuits were ill-advised, we must learn from these experiences. Notably, several current board members regularly attended the Reingold lawsuit trial with the Reingolds. The Reingolds won their lawsuit, and the HOA board voted against appealing the settlement to mitigate damages. Recently, the board completed roofing work at the Bell Canyon Community Center but altered the building's Cliff May architectural features, which were recognized by the Ventura County Cultural Heritage Board. This project was financed through a high-interest loan, resulting in an additional debt to the community, yet the center remains unusable. Additionally, the board has refused to release financial documents for transparency and intends to charge up to $200 for documents requested through legal channels. The HOA Board should prioritize serving the community's interests rather than pursuing costly lawsuits and litigations.

Cast your YES vote on the Recall to bring in a dynamic new team ready to steer Bell Canyon towards a brighter future! Let's eliminate lawsuits and negativity, boost property values, host exciting community events, and transform Bell Canyon into the ultimate city for living and relaxation.
